Hell resident evil REmake for the gamecube let you do that.

Mate, I'm certain that the 'being able to shoot zombies that are playing dead' feature was in Resident Evil 2, let alone the GameCube games years later! It may even be in the 1996 original. It's been too many years to remember. Actually, scratch that - it was in the original game!

That room (double blue doors I think?) that connects to the lobby with the statue of a lady with a bowl that has a map in it. You had to push some steps about in order to get the map. Anyway, aside from the door leading out to the main lobby, there's two other ways out. A door to the infamous 'zombie-dogs-through-windows' corridor, and a curtained-opening.

That opening leads to an L-shaped storage area, wherein a zombie is playing dead! Behind him is an ink ribbon, and I distinctly remember shooting him as he lay there. So yeah. Killing zombies that play dead has always been in the series from the outset.

I know what you mean, too. I encountered it in the RE6 demo. It frustrated me that my bullets clipped right through these clearly waiting and not dead zombies. It's an artificial way of inducing dread, I suppose. You know they're not dead, but you can't kill them until they rise. Maybe a necessity in a game where you can just sprint to the checkpoint?

I dunno. It's stupid if you ask me. If the original game let you make your own choice of what to do in that scenario, the sixth instalment 16 years later doesn't really have an excuse for turning that dynamic into a silly scripted event.

Two reasons.1) It's a kind of "I disagree with your nonsense", which I find humorous in a forum setting. 2) The way her face fat jiggles about as she shakes her head also makes me laugh.

Basically, I just find it funny whenever I see it.

Not sure as it's been a long while since I played but thought in the REmake most Zombies it took a few shots to the head to take down and most grabbed you and had to fight them off.

Yeah, they always took a good 5-10 shots to put down for good.

The issue of shooting zombies before they get up is only evident around the very start of Leon's scenario, and yeah, I thought it was dumb too. But the rest of the game so far they're already up and about, or the enemies are more like the Ganados from RE4 and 5, so playing dead isn't something they do.
It's a very minor issue that only matters for about the first hour.

The funny thing is if you could just kill them off while on the floor people would moan its been made easy for the casuals.

Beat it, paid 30 for it, gunna sell it for 35.

Don't hate it, but its not really a resident evil game so much as it is a resident evil movie, they might as well have called Ada, Alice. It also just kind of sucks as a game, I understand they wanted skills to matter, making the game not suck in 3 slots isn't the way to do it. its also gotta be one of the worst cop-op games out there for a lot of technical reasons like no invincibility frames when rescuing, enemies staying active during cut-scenes.

It was meh, it was worth finishing but not a game I'll ever replay again.

Just putting in my two cents since I won't be back for a bit. Plus, in real life people look at me funny if I say "well its not the worst game out there" but the reasons they all say its bad are so asinine and dumb. Its alittle scary that most of the devs here don't understand what makes Re6 bad, and they don't understand what it does well.

I'm taking a break from them too, I put up an automatic response on my business email that basically says "Fuck off" in a professional way.

So yea just swinging by. saying hi. then i'm gone again.

if anyone doesn't know, in res6 you can do an interesting gun special attack move by clicking the 2 attack buttons at the same time ( so aim & shoot )

seems to make the guns a little more powerful
