Thing is he didn't, not a single one of his games is truly unique. I don't men that like Darksiders, which made something new by combining old ideas.

gameplay wise what makes Maniac Mansion different from Heavy Rain, then think about which game makes more sense (oddly enough the one with the big tentacle)

Having just replayed The Longest Journey, and starting Shenmue and Shenmue 2 (everyone's favorite adventure games) in a couple of weeks with a friend who's never played it before, I had the urge to look back at some adventure games I've played in the past which I had a hard time remembering. After the overwhelming success that replaying The Longest Journey was I figured I'd give Indigo Prophecy a go, but since I only have a small break before I'll lose all my free time, I need to make sure I spend my time wisely. I played Indigo Prophecy when I was younger and I don't trust my younger self. He had a tendency to like a lot of crap, I hated Heavy Rain when it came out so I was a little hesitant to trust my fond memories of Indigo Prophecy... thanks for the input guys, I think I'll shy away from Indigo Prophecy for a little while longer. I'll probably give it a playthrough sometime down the road just out of curiosity but for now I don't want to waste my time.

I need to get Batman Arkum City as I won't progress anymore in ACII for stupid reasons. Ezio in Altiars Armor also wearing the mask he just looks so cool so instead been rooftop hopping and exploring like crazy and beating the shit out of every gaurd I see. I think I also want to get Brotherhood as soon as next month.

No just the demo for both. Just i want a open world game to hop on rooftops and beat people up. Tho I ike the setting for ACII more. I really want Brotherhood because of rome. That said I'm feeling Ubisoft has given the AC series the Metroid effect in that every game you have to lose the armor or get new armor for a certain reason. Bugs me after all the hell some of those tombs were for me.

I´m not much of a writer, but with finals over I´m thinking about writing some reviews for practice/funsies.

On a related note, whatever happened to that Dojo gaming review website that Henry started 2 or 3 years ago?

@Ryudo: Play Arkham Asylum first. It'll explain a lot (and watching it on YouTube won't really help, you need to get accustomed to using the gadgets and learning the fighting techniques before heading onto Arkham City)

@Thief: You'll love it for the first so many "levels". Then things take a turn for the worse and you start mourning what the game could've been. Hands down the most anti-climactic gaming experience you'll ever encounter.

Demo went up for Rayman Legends, the game is f'kin nuts. Especially with 4 players, also looks even better then origins.

I know I will get chastised for this. I took a peek at Brotherhood. Just the first hour or so. I will be getting it but in a sense got a Shenmue II vibe. Not really in a great way. Nothing wrong with the game. Just I love how ACII it takes place in places you are known and more home like. Worked hard to get certain things. Yet in th enext game that hard work is thrown to the side less personal in terms of people and home town feel and a much bigger city. I liked Shenmue II but did not love it. I don't know if anyone else got that vibe or maybe playing it will feel very different.Also weird to me Ezio is 40 in it.
