This is fan art I think. However it's the best design I have personally seen.

^^Impressed the hell out of me back in the day.

Always loved the Vault Boy design from the Fallout series. Functions in so many ways, and adds a lot to the sort of 50s/60s vibe of the series.

Yeah, William Birkin is still my favourite "villain" and "monster" of the series, the former is normally attributed to Wesker and the latter to Nemesis, but I think Birkin does both better. He helped to create the T virus, created the G virus, started the Raccoon City incident, got revenge on Umbrella, killed Umbrella's spec ops unit and really was the most persistent monster of the series outside Nemesis, so much so that he eventually turned into a mass of flesh.

I really like Bladestorm's revisionist outlook on the historical battle between French and British during the 1300s, it is fascinating.
Edward the Black Prince (AKA Edward of Woodstock & Prince of Wales) is one of many (others include Joan of Arc, Philip the Good). But his design is definitely one of my favourites, his armour is just bad ass.

^^Always been curious about Bladestorm. Sort of a Dynasty Warriors in Medieval Europe kind of thing, right?

Yeah. it's an action-strategy game done on the Dynasty Warriors style. There's loads of classes, which you can change on the fly during battle; bow & arrow, crossbow, spearman on foot, spearman on horseback, sword and shield, sword on horseback, thieves, cannons, bombers, tons more that I'm unlocking all the time (samurai & viking classes are also in there, so it's not just medieval Europe stylings!) Loads to choose from. Just great variety all around. It's quickly become a favourite game for me this gen. Omega Force are so good.

^^You're making me love you more with each new post. :D
Metal Arms was awesome. Such a sadly underappreciated game. Hard as nails sometimes, but it had great variety and a ton of personality.

I was really impressed by the Old World Blues "DLC" in Fallout: New Vegas. Certainly some of the best add-on content I've played for anything, ever. So many fun ideas in it, all of it taking a lot of influence from 50s/early-60s pulp sci-fi.
And the scientists you meet in the Big MT are exemplary of this.
Basically floating "brain in a jar" robots with extendable arms holding tv screens for their eyes and mouth. Just a really cool look, and they're even more endearing when you get to know them. Extremely good writing and designs in this thing.
