When was the last time a multi-plat game sold out on all platforms?

It's next to impossible for a game to sell out now considering we have DD and publishers are expecting to sell more than they actually do (therefore ordering too many copies for first print)

It has to be niche or a breakout hit. Nothing AAA is going to sell out so long as things keep going the way they are.

i guess from a publisher stand point, selling out can be nothing but a good thing, but at the same time it means supply isnt meeting demand. I guess publishers have learned to over stock their games now to prevent sell out? I would imagine only exclusives sell out now. Last one I remember doing it was Xenoblade.

Yea, a lot of 3DS games do, but for the most part their niche single consoles releases. Believe it or not, we've reached a point now where that kind of game is capable of turning over a bigger profit then a multiconsole release.

Fire Emblem likely sold 1/16th of what Bioshock Infinite did, but when it comes to profits 2k took a loss, while Nintendo took themselves to the bank.
