What really annoys you is when they throw DRM on a single player game that has no online function other than updating. Even with games that have a single player campaign and have online multiplayer, I think DRM should be off unless it needs to be on, but its probably easier to code where its just always on instead of coding where it turns off under certain conditions, its just like what all are they really listening in on with Always on DRM? I can understand it for a MMO or a strictly online game, or even a game with single campaign and multiplayer, but I would still prefer a on/off depending. I think publishers/devs have gotten lazy and just say fuck it keep it on all the time. Which brings me to what im worried about now, publishers getting lazy with the PS4/XBO multiplatform games, having a scenerio where if said Xbone game has always on DRM (which it will obviously) so will the PS4 version if for no other reason than to keep it the same, then at some point this method becoming standard for even the exclusive PS4 games just based on the fact that all the XBO games have it, and if the multiplatform games have it too, then fuck it make em all that way. We could still be fucked in that regard, I just hope they ATLEAST have enough sense to make the single player games strictly without it. MS influence could still change the PS4 versions of certain games, and Playstation users could still be fucked in that regard. Also Sony doesnt wanna tell the publishers no, we control all DRM because then certain publishers might jump ship, and sony might not be able to get the games they want on their console that can move units. All im saying is dont be surprised if we see more DRM multi-plat games on PS4.
Now, I have a question because I dont understand quite how DRM works, does DRM affect used games?
