Who Really Cares? wrote: I know they had a hand in it but on a whole its still R* game and largely written by Dan Houser who's just not very good as a writer IMO.

Game just doesn't feel like its connected to the first 2.

Well once i played Alan Wake a lot of the stuff that was supposed to originally be in the game made more sense and I'm really sad was cut.

How DARE you criticize Dan Houser He's the next Truman Capote!

I can't stand him for a lot of reasons, this being a major one.

12 new screenshots and some new info from Gameinformer came out today.

Image

"For Grand Theft Auto V, players can customize their vehicles on a scale similar to Midnight Club: Los Angeles"

Image

"Each character has stats that can be upgraded in categories like strength, shooting, stealth, driving, flying and lung capacity"

Image

"Players can spend their hard earned money on luxury cars, helicopters, marinas, and even businesses"

Image

"GTA V contains the largest skybox Rockstar has ever created for a game, giving you plenty of room to fly planes around"

Image

"Some missions require a character to serve as a lookout, using binoculars to spot an incoming threat or the target for the heist"

Image

"The wanted system has changed slightly in GTA V. You can still outrun the copys by staying out of their line of sight, but you can also find good hiding spots to wait them out"

Image

"The Ballers and The Lost return to GTA V, bringing two very different gang cultures

Image

"Rockstar has added destructibility to certain objects in the game, like these construction barriers."

Image

"Certain boats contain scuba equipment, which allows you to search the ocean bed for shipwrecks and other points of interest"

Image

"When the shootouts begin in missions with multiple characters, you can switch between them freely"

Image

"With a land mass 3.5 times the size of Red Dead Redemption, the world of Grand Theft Auto V is absolutely massive"

Image

"Before major heists, players must conduct several side missions to prep. For this mission in particular, you must pick up boilers suits, choose masks, collect the vehicles necessary for the job, and find a spot to hide the getaway car"

When the game is released going to be interesting how people react on consoles how the game does not look near as crisp as those PC screens and even those are probably touched a little. I'd like to see one of those comparison vids.

Stealth. Heists. I love the sound of everything so far, but stealth and heists. Heists unrelated to the story. Stealth. Stealth. Heists. The latter half of 2013 just seems like the perfect send-off for this gen. Can't fucking wait.

Yeah it really sounds like R* have worked hard to keep their new vision but fix the issues that people complained about. The missions were all too similar in IV.

The Xbox 360 edition of Grand Theft Auto 5 will come on two discs, developer Rockstar has announced, but you won't need to swap them during gameplay.

The first disc holds data for a mandatory 8GB install - meaning that 4GB Xbox 360 users will need an external hard drive. Disc two will then be used to play the game.

"This initial install will require an Xbox 360 Hard Drive or an external 16GB USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of free space," Rockstar wrote in a new Q&A blog post. "If using a USB flash drive it must be at least USB 2.0 with a minimum 15mb/s read speed and formatted for Xbox 360 use. A new USB flash drive is recommended to ensure optimum performance."

On PlayStation 3, the game will come on one Blu-ray disc, as expected, although you'll still need that 8GB mandatory install.

Grand Theft Auto 5's multiplayer mode will also be included on those discs, though sounds like a separate entity. It'll be named Grand Theft Auto Online. More details will be announced over the summer.

And there's still no word of a PC or next-gen console version of the game. Rockstar is "completely focused" on getting the current-gen console versions ready for their 17th September launch.

You reckon a game you've played is better than a game that hasn't been released? Makes sense.
