Speaking of really odd obscure games (even though that conversation was goin on time ago...) has anyone ever played The Road?

I think this game looks amazing tbh but I have more of a penchant for the obscure and avant garde games nowadays as I have grown older.

That sounds a bit like me. I still play "normal" games but also appreciate these more "odd" ones from time to time. I replayed Braid today and Journey was one of my better gaming experiences this year.

Yeah Journey was in my conciousness when I made that post. Such a beautiful game, an experience like no other. My first Journey was spent hanging around with random people but after the first I always stick with a fellow traveller all the way through, it's epic.

Saw a gameplay vid of Journey and loved what I saw. Damn shame its PS3 only.

I watch the Giant Bomb quick look. Eh not my thing. Looks more like to me something trying to be more than it really is. Selling itself more on visual presentation and the gameplay being a demo for a new console at E3 with Phil Harrison. Not played it nor plan to. I can't judge or anything. Just that it's not my thing and the demo of Journey didn't sell me either but often had demo's steer me wrong.

The Unfinished Swan's opening is one of the most memorable in recent memory. Sadly it's also the high point.
