If I play it and it sucks, well at least I played it to find out. A new game in a proved franchise that changes alot of things is not an indicator of it sucking or not.

I've played technically bad games that I still had fun with. It has to occur very often and chug very badly for me to count it as a big fatal flaw.

And this is all coming from someone who loved, and still loves, DMC1. It has to be DMC2 bad or worse to prove itself unworthy. But I even played through DMC2 to know that it just sucked.

I've only played demos of Heavenly Sword and Enslaved. HS is not a game i'm interested in. I already played something like it and it was called God of War.

Still want Enslaved. I'll have to play it in full to see how utterly broken of a game it is.

I played a bit of DMC and yeah it's aged a bit and for sure see the RE leftovers but still very enjoyable.
I really want to get DMC3 next as I'm told to avoid DMC2 by Manny. Kinda want to try it just to see if it's as bad as peope say but at the same time money is a real issue and not ready to take the risk yet.

If and when you get it; get the Special Edition ver. since it has quite a few perks over the original version of DMC3 (extra boss battle, play as another character, rebalanced difficulty, continue from point of death or from start of battle).

Its not that its terrible, it just doesn't add anything. Its about Bob going emo and dicking around. The scenario that was written for him in Nocturne is more like a DMC game than DMC 2.

It'll be interesting playing this new game about "Tony", because I want to see if they're using the same tools they were using on Heavenly Sword (which they were last I checked)

I'm getting fairly sick of having gaming press practically turning their noses down in a condescending manner to people like me who don't appreciate the change this is going through. It's like they can't understand, look at this quote from the journalist previewing the game on gamesTM:

"If only Capcom had kept everything the same, then we'd all be free to bitch and moan about how lazy it was. Man, for an audience that claims to love games, people sure do seem to have a short fuse when it comes to getting their hate on."

Fuck off. If anyone was going to bitch about 'lazy' it was, it wouldn't be coming from people like me who were genuinely hoping for it, but rather from the people who this game is supposedly trying to target in the first place. And for the last time, it's not about the hair.

Remember the very first DmC Devil May Cry trailer that showed Dante at some sort of rehabilitation facility? Capcom and Ninja Theory haven’t talked much about that aspect of his background, but this morning, we got a few more background details on Dante’s past.



We already know that Dante is half angel and half demon, and has been described as a “street brawler,” due to having grown up on the streets and fending for himself. Now, we also know that he spent the majority of his youth in various institutions, orphanages, youth correction facilities and foster homes. The catch is, most of these were run by demons and usually involved torture of some sort.



As a result, Dante has grown up with no respect for society and authority, and a hatred of demons in particular, despite being half-demon himself. Capcom say that Dante takes the side of the underdog in what he sees as an unfair society.

Ugh a more edgy crap anti establishment hipster and that concept could not be more lame and cliche. And Why the fuck are Demons running shit? Would they just not kill him knowing what he is? This is fucking retarded!

Terrible screens. They're all grainy and, y'know... not HD.
Kind of defeats the point of the collection itself. It's like I'm looking at screenshots on Gamespot in 2001 all over again.
