I just read SM said while a console is in development many of the rumours are false. I just don't believe that image. Looks like a generic external HDD.

well I know we have one, and that legal is drafting a new nda (non disclosure agreement) and that we have one, also my elevator key used to get me to supplies but now i can only go to the cafeteria and Qa/Capture. If i need something I need to write it down and I can't ask for kits anymore. Also seeing less of the producers and its all started happening this week so its safe to assume we've got one. the info might be embargoed.

Trying to engineer something.

I hope it looks close to the super famicom at the very least SNES2. Also bring back the Famicom brand.

Plenty of people are saying dev kits have been around for awhile. Even if it was a late 2012 release people will have dev kits.

Damn, all of them have at least one game in the works?!
That and names like Rockstar in the pole position might mean Nintendo will really try to shift it's way of doing things.

Well from the sounds of it these may not be exclusive. The next GTA and COD could be the games Activision and Rockstar are making for it.

May have two very distinct controllers (motion control and a traditional with camera and touchscreen added). Possible name 'Stream' (you can guess part of the concept by such a name, no?):

Specs: AMD R700 GPU, triple-core IBM PowerPC chipset. Faster than the X360, possibly the size of an X360 while we're at it.

The look of a modern SNES. Price around the 350-400 dollars mark.

Nintendo we need to talk. Look all I want in the system is a flash cart drive(return of carts) A traditional controller and great third party support like in the SNES days. I don't need waggle screens on my contoller(DC proved it's sounds cool but really isn't) That's it. You guys ran out of genuine ideas to inovate after N64. Since then just gimmicks.

It seems the 'screen in the controller' is really so you might stream the games to the controller allowing you to continue your playthrough on the go.
Maybe 'Project Café' comes from that concept? You can go out to drink a coffe and keep playing the game you were playing in your couch?

I see potential there, people just have to explore it.
A screen in the controller can be your menu/interface without the need to pause the game too.

Still, the motion control, the TOUCH screen... Hope they will not mess it up with so many segmented ideas.

Yeah Sony,Sega,Nintendo tried it before. All failed. It's just a gimmick. If I am on the go to play games I will just grab a DS or PSP. Not going to hold a controller in public.look retarded.
Without a pause menu? Is that how lazy gamers have become? Upset over a pause menu?

Damn in my day game just froze no menu and no saving games. I have no problem with a pause menu.

Haha. Ofcourse, that is where I stand too, but it may smooth the experience of certain games, where, say, you need to constantly access a menu to check ammo/check your health/use items that you are always using... Know what I'm saying? Cut the routine and persistent break of the gameplay to do basic stuff (you can do changes in the actual gameplay itself that will end this, obviously).

A screen can... I don't know, play gameplay info regarding the section of the game you are in (and the way you can interact with it), show what other players/characters are seeing, etc...

Obviously, I talk about such a concept as an extra, not the focus of any console/gameplay mechanic.

Most of all, I meant that the screen on the controller is the least thing that worries me, it can be a cool little thing, aslong as it doesn't overprice a pad.
