Just a bit of forewarning, I may go into a crazy state of ZOE obsession when the HD collection comes out. Might start posting music from it, art from it, and I may go on rants about how great the whole franchise is.
Already starting to feel it set in.
One of those series where nostalgia and flat-out quality criss-cross eachother, threatening to make my head explode.

Downloaded the HD version of the ZOE2 trailer off of the Japanese PSN, and it's impressive as hell how incredible these games still look.

It's awesome that they actually went back and touched up the anime sequences to be HD. I wonder if they were able to do the same with the cg movies in the first game?

I changed my pre oder of Sonic racing from 360 to PS3. I changed my wishlist of DMC HD to PS3. I changed my preorder of MGR to PS3. Just to help the library a little and I want ZOE HD. But uh my wallet is now empty after yesterday.

I've just installed Yakuza: Dead Souls. It took exactly 11 minutes and 30 seconds. It can be cut down to around 7 minutes with SSD.

Fun fact: the instruction manual says that it takes 20 minutes to install. I'm guessing they've lefy a safty margin because some people may have shitty drives.

I have the one that came with my PS3. So Sony sold shitty HD's cool.

The funny thing is I've said various times i simply want install to be a choice not forced not that i hate them.



Anyways why is it so hard to get game OST's on disc now? Most seem to be digital only

^^Japanese games still tend to get physically-released OST's. Western games have never been very good about doing that though.

It took until AC: Revelations for Ubisoft to do it for Assassin's Creed (to my knowledge, at least), and by that time the score had dipped in quality. Either way, the quality of the product is more important than it's actual physical presence.

Digital is being forced on us because it throws out the middle guys. More money for the makers and publishers. Good for them, but not so much for us, the consumers. Digital stuff seems cool at first, but it's actually very dangerous. Modern hardware is the opposite of reliable. It's easy to lose the data, but I mostly hate the perspective of not actually having all this DLC stuff in the future.

Data's relatively easy to recover, it's just a pain in the arse. Even if you think you've deleted something, by adding absolutely nothing to the hard drive, it will still be there.
