GameSpot's Resident Evil 6 Review:

"Resident Evil 6's messy mix of annoying quick-time events and constant set pieces makes it a poor caricature of modern-day action games. 4.5/10"

It was obvious to me that Eurogamer, Edge and Destructoid will (rightfully) trash it. However, I was surprised to see that Gamespot also had the balls to do it.

I have not tried the demo. I don;t want to bash te game. I'm just shocked that a series normally praised is getting scores of 30.

Capcom to reboot with western team?

The game is bad. Really fucking bad. Technically speaking, it's a mess. The story is a weaksauce attempt at making everybody happy. The OST is so generic that you're better off listening to a working washing machine... I am fucking amazed by how crappy RE6 turned out to be.

And before the game even comes out, no less.

The game was out long ago in some places. People talked, reviewers confirmed it. Put a sock in it, will you?

curtisd88 wrote:Wow, Capcom throws together a team of 600+ and the result is one of the most disappointing games of the year. First Operation Raccoon City, now this. If they're trying to kill our favourite franchises, they're doing a good job. Mega Man games getting cancelled, RE loses the horror, DMC takes an unwanted turn, the list goes on. What's next, the next Street Fighter isn't a fighting game? With Capcom, anything's possible.

That comment you posted Dorian, he says what next Street Fighter is not fighting? They already did a Street Fighter that wasn't fighting, Street Fighter 2010.

You're right and wrong, 2010 isn't really a street fighter game it just got localized as one BUT Final Fight was Originally called Street Fighter 89, hence characters from that are in street fighter.

then again that story doesn't have a happy ending either:

I don't understand how a team of 600 + create such a crappy game. Who thought the new direction was a good idea?? Are these people stuck in a bubble? Don't they read what the fans want? I mean, these people are the ones buying the game. I guess thats just the way it goes for a lot of companies.

Capcom is thinking about what sells, what's 'hype', not about quality and charisma, much less inovation, this is what happens.

The game will still sell a lot, I'm sure.

On a more positive note, Cliffy B of all people might have announced a new Afterburner (Hayden's reply):
