Need some suggestions

Postby Juanfran » Sun May 20, 2012 5:57 pm

My friend's idea of games is Angry Birds and Solitaire so I've pledged to set her straight. My library and off-hand title recall is limited so any suggestions would be appreciated. For now, I'm looking for anything that's available for PS3 and or PSN, very quick and easy to get into - casual, but not too casual. Nothing that involves too much reading. Nothing that is... not so subtle in its exloitation of women. I already have Blazblue and Heavy Rain, those might work.

Eww heavy Rain. Have you tried a collection disc like the Genesis Collection on PS3/360?

Really tried to think of something. If you don't mind showing off some classic PSone games, here's a list of titles on PSN:

The Undergarden maybe? from PSN.
also from there, Limbo is a safe choice. sort of.

my girlfriend adores Folklore and Alice Madness Returns.

finally she will not be indifferent to Catherine.

Apart from the ones already mentioned, I can only suggest Child of Eden, Limbo, Rayman Origins and flOw.

The Uncharted series.
She'll probably think Nathan Drake is hot, and the cinematic style of it is instantly-appealing to most people. Being a shooter, the dual-analog controls might be hard to get into for someone who's never done it before, but she might still like the game, even if she's just watching you play. That's part of the greatness of the series: it's just as watchable as it is playable.

In the same way, you might want to invest in the Ico/Shadow of the Colossus HD collection. Ico is relaxing and simple, easy for anyone to get into, and SotC is another easily-accessible one, simple enough so as to be fun to play or watch.
