If you can't look past the cliches then it's definitely not a game you'd want to play. However it was one of my first JRPGs growing up so it was all new at the time. I can't think of it as anything but my favorite Gamecube game.

ToS is a great game with an insanely fun battle system. If you don't like spell cancelling with Sheena you lack testosterone. Not everything needs to reinvent the wheel to be considered solid and enjoyable. Segata is right though, it does have some cliches and minor system flaws. Of course, that's not what makes the game shine otherwise it wouldn't have been touted as such.

Because it actually makes sense.

Sheena still ain't Klarth or Arche :P Going to another universe to learn how to move a 20lb rock also wasn't my favorite thing to do.

It gets the job done, but just giving a fair warning.

I really enjoyed Baten Kaitos, even though I got to the final boss but never fought him. I just quit at that point for whatever reason. I guess because I didn't feel the need to, since the story wasn't that great.

Thanks a lot guys! I will hold my thieving hands up and say i will be attempting to download and burn these once i have the money to buy some mini dvd-r discs. Oh and also a burner. Games are crazy expensive over here. I mean not even laughably funny. If i can find a way to play N64 games on it, i will fall over with joy.

should have gotten a wii, you can soft mod it yourself then play all wii and gamecube games with widescreen support in 480p, it also has emulators for most things up to the N64 and you can run everything from a USB stick

Wha...Beedle plays JRPG's? Astonishing. Also agree about Wind Waker being better than TP, especially if your into the less "core" elements of Zelda (Dungeons). TP had some amazing dungeons, but it's overworld was a bit dull. I'd also recommend Star Fox Adventures as a nice little Zelda clone. Nowt wrong with that game.
