Got my hands on a rare Shenmue II Demo Disc brand new sealed and a never seen before cover sample. On top of that, got the chance to meet Takenobu Mitsuyoshi few days ago. We have talked about many things and of course Shenmue.

Yeah the F4F Ryo is awesome. But ive moved to Japan and my F4F Shenmue figure is still in France so cant even see it. Eventually, i will build up a room to show off collected items some days. Shenmue deserves it !

Battle system looked good to me (reminded me a little bit of Koudelka's; turn based SRPG on a small grid). Plus it's From Software, just had to try it out.

I remember it getting generally pretty poor reviews. But then again, From Software's games usually tend to be pretty misunderstood by the mainstream gaming community, so for all I know the game might be great.
It's still a wonder to me that people were actually able to recognize the things that made Demon's/Dark Souls so good. I hope From's games get that kind of attention from now on. They usually deserve it.

Not just that, I remember that game being a bit sloppy on the technical side, generally being a bad port from the Xbox. Back when PS3 was a misunderstood teen rebel..

Theres a lot missing from the PS3 version that makes it hard to play. Like theres a point where in the story it snows, and for my first 360 RPG it was magical, all these particles on the ground and stuff it was like Lost Planet. None of that scene is captured in the Ps3 version since it has almost no particles at all, so theres just reddish flooring for that whole area instead of snow.

FF12 being upscaled looks better then the ps3 version of Enchanted arms

Nice! I really dig these clear files too. I've never seen them before.

I'm into card games (magic, net runner, et cetera) but I'm really not into paying a lot of money for them -- which is why I haven't purchased a booster pack for magic since I was in eighth grade. I still find the game to be damn fun, my buddies and I still booster draft on occasion and any cards we get in the packs we sell online. More often than not we end up making more money than we spent to play for the night. Anyway, I'm rambling.

I found this online:

Image

.hack//enemy: a card game based off of the anime series and video games. Best part is that a booster box was online $8 -- so I spent $18 for the booster box and two starter decks and my buddy and I have been playing and building decks the past couple of days. The game is surprisingly fun -- sometimes these lesser known TCG's are a real gamble as far as playability/fun factor goes.

My friend and I are considering going half and half on some of the expansion set booster boxes -- it's really not much of a commitment to my wallet either.

Plus .hack is cool.

Nice that they're sticking with Japanese boxart for the most recent Tales releases.
