26 days.

http://majornelson.com/2013/04/24/xboxreveal/

On Tuesday May 21st, we’ll mark the beginning of a new generation of games, TV and entertainment. On that day, we’ll be holding a special press event on the Xbox campus and we invite you to join us via the live global stream that will be available on Xbox.com, Xbox LIVE and broadcast on Spike TV if you are in the US or Canada.

On that day, we’ll share our vision for Xbox, and give you a real taste of the future. Then, 19-days later at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, we’ll continue the conversation and showcase our full lineup of blockbuster games.

We are thrilled to pull back the curtain and reveal what we’ve been working on.

I'm going to lower my expectations to rock bottom levels.

That way if turns out amazing, I'll be happily surprised. On the other hand if it ends up being bleh, I won't be disappointed.

I'm going to lower mine too, just in case. I haven't really played xbox since mine got the rings. Never cared to replace it either. Microsoft will have to do something epic as the PS4 is giving me what I like so far.

After the 'augmented reality' claims I think it's doomed to be a letdown.

Windows It Pro says:

MS will reveal actual details about the next Xbox, like the launch lineup, on the eve of E3.

The next Xbox will launch in early November 2013.

Windows 8 Core.

MS will make you chose between two pricing models: $499 for the standalone version or $299 for a version that requires a two-year Xbox LIVE Gold contract.

The next Xbox will use Blu-Ray.

The next Xbox must be internet-connected to use.

MS will also deliver a third generation 360 this same year that will, obviously, cost less.

No idea what to do with Win8
No downloading apps without having to pay for Xbox Live
No consumer friendly uses
No used games* (rumor)
No offline use
No thank you!

BTW what part of MUST BE INTERNET CONNECTED TO USE is not draconian? Bullshit.

Surprised anyone really thinks MS will do online only. I mean i can't think a company as big as them would be that dumb.

But then MS advertised the 360 as ''always connected'' but it didn't mean you needed a connection all the time.
