Mirror's Edge 2

Okay, it's probably nothing, but I distinctly remember EA making a statement about Mirror's Edge 2 saying that it's a very important IP to them and that they want to make sure the concept for a sequel's "right" before giving development the greenlight. Could the impending arrival of across-the-board next gen mean that moment's arrived?

Hopefully E3 will see it's announcement.

Until then, Amazon Germany have it listed. Not exactly concrete evidence, but anything's promising, really...

Now would be a good time to finally reveal Mirror's Edge 2, and if a listing on Amazon Germany is any kind of an indication, such a thing might not be too far off.

"It is general knowledge in the Stockholm dev scene that Mirror's Edge 2 is in production at DICE," former EA employee Ben Cousins said back in November 2012. Perhaps this retailer listing is further evidence that a Mirror's Edge sequel is just around the corner.

With Mirror's Edge dev DICE also focused on Battlefield 4 on current and next-gen platforms, a Mirror's Edge 2 reveal would certainly be a surprise, but as ever with these retailer listings, you should really take it with a big old bucket of salt.

Chances are, it might not mean anything, and until EA and DICE officially lift the lid on Mirror's Edge 2, we won't be getting our hopes up too much.

I would say wrong section but its ME and i really want a follow up. ME2 on Frostbite 3 would look amazing.

Agreed. Such a cool setting. Wasted potential for a story. Can't say i'm a big fan of Rhianna Pratchett. Mirror's Edge and Tomb Raider were both dissapointing in terms of narrative. Hopfully they get somone else to write the sequel.

They did seem a bit cheap (like a flash movie from back in the day). I wouldn't be opposed to it as long as the story was better. I think I would prefer in-game cut scenes though.
