Final Fantasy XIII was probably the worst experience I ever had, but its not the worst game I have ever played.

Maybe Shadowman for the PS1. Haven't played the other versions, but the game was clearly not made for something as low-spec as the PS1. Damn near unplayable. And the profanity-laden dialogue felt like it was trying waaaay too hard to be "edgy" at the time.

I don't really want to answer with a game that is stereotypically bad, like Superman 64, or whatever, since that's a really boring response. So instead, I'll respond with a game that is supposedly really good, but was so incredibly underwhelming/flat out bad, that it became one of the worst games to me.

I'm hesitant to say the game, because I know many people here really like it, but whatever -- fuck it. Persona 3 is the worst game I've ever played.

The dungeon is a grind fest bore, the battle system is horrible and only lets you control one person, the pace is god-awfully slow, the characters are uninteresting, the side-plots are even more so, and the music does not appeal to me at all. All in all it was horrible trash and I can't understand at all why anyone likes it. That said, like what you want, and I'll do the same. Doesn't invalidate its worth to you or anyone else merely because I don't like it.

I chuckled a bit when I read that.
I have a very hard time believing that it's actually the worst game you've played. If you want to call it your, I dunno... "least favorite," all the power to ya. But there's a level of polish and know-how that's about as apparent as can be in just about any SMT release, that I would think you could recognize it as just not being your thing, rather than actually being a bad game.
It's like me saying the worst game I've ever played is Fifa-somethingorother, just because I don't personally like soccer.

It's got enough "quality" (or production value?) for me to differentiate from genuinely terrible games (like Big Rigs or Superman 64), but those games almost are just a given for being bad games. It's like saying you one time accidentally ate some poop and it was worst food you've ever eaten -- it's so obviously bad.

I can't in good conscience say that I think Persona 3 is a good game, because I really don't. I think it's one of the worst designed games I've ever played (that wasn't comparable to poop). There are games that I don't like, but that I think are good games (like maybe some FPS or Strategy games), but this is not one of them. I enjoy the RPG genre and I think this game is horrible. You guys can like it if you want though, doesn't bother me, I'll just think ya'll are crazy

I got a headache and physically sick playing Fantastic Four for four hours on a friend's PlayStation when I was about 10. Was my first time playing a PlayStation, threw up a few times in the bathroom when I came home, mum didn't want me playing video games for a while after that.

I blame the PlayStation's texture warping and aliasing.
