I know shenmue 3 will be using UE4, but just seeing the engines capability in Solus Project really is amazing. Mind you this was made by 6 people in a little over 2 years.

I don't think it looks that good. I think Shenmue III looks better actually.

Gears of War 4 uses UE4 and it runs/looks great on PC. It has great scalability too.

What it matters is that the engine is solid as fuck and very well optimized.
Unity can also pull graphics out of their ass (in theory even more than unreal that doesn't have realtime global illumination), but their rendering pipeline is a mess, and not optimized at all.
