Holy shit, that's... I never knew the names of them before, but when I lived in Israel I think I saw some of those movies with Hebrew dubs over them. Never knew what they were, but I got a weird rush of nostalgia seeing this stuff.
Not sure if I'll be contributing, but I do love the look of it all regardless. Great 70s aesthetics mixed with 90s-style graphics. Just awesome. Gotta look up the movies or something though. I get the feeling I'll enjoy them.

This is awesome! Backed 15 bucks! Probably seen all of their films a dozen times each, but i still get a blast out of them. Eating beans and slapping around bad guys never gets old.

These films were popular all around the world; my dad used to watch them as a kid growing up in Iran.

I enjoyed watching these films growing up, too.. not sure if the gameplay will hold up in the end, but I'm definitely keeping my eye on this. Might be worth it for the nostalgia alone. Licensed music from the movies is a must though, if you ask me! Gems like this belong in there.

^Excellent choice, Monkei! Man I love this movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0069697/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
That's definitely one of their best along withhttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074442/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 and http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087481/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1.
The original soundtrack stretch goal is a must, just like the PS4/Xbox One stretch goal. I can't see the PC co-op mode being even remotely as fun as a good old console co-op side-scrolling beat em up mode!

It's funded! It's around 140k right now, the next stretch goals are:
1. Additional Levels 150k
2. Original Movie Soundtrack 200k
22 days to go.

Well, I hope they can reach 200.000. Licensed music should have been the first stretch goal, it's way more important than some extra levels.
Stretch goals in general are kind of an annoyance anyway with their arbitraryness (is that a word?) and everything.

Maybe they can't get the license rights for the movie soundtracks below 200k and they put in the extra level stretch goal to reduce the gap in between 130k and 200k. That's what I guess, at least.
In my ideal world stretch goals would have been:
Original Soundtracks 150k
PS4/Xbox One Versions 200k
Extra levels 220k
But well, we'll have to accept it as it is and hope for it to make the 200k. Otherwise it would be a major setback for the game as a whole.

^ Yeah, would have made more sense that way I think.
Just checked on the project - still 4 days to go, and they got 178.000 of the 200.000 apparently needed for the soundtracks. Console versions sadly aren't in reach, but if the game turns out decently, and makes some sort of splash, I guess some publisher might help out with porting it if we're lucky.

So, they reached the original soundtracks stretch goal. Great news, it wouldn't have made sense without that. Console versions stretch goal failed, however. But I think they might be able to get it through a slacker backer campaign or might strike a deal with a publisher for the consoles version, if the PC version does well enough.
