You've got to hand it to Nintendo, they're willing to be different...

Saw this earlier today. Who knew cardboard could bring so much entertainment?... Don't know how well this will sell in the market.

Nintendo is on another tier, on another world in another universe.

How long does cardboard last around small kids?

Well despite it being aimed at kids we all know that 90% of the people who play with it will be grown ups.

There's a good opinion piece here that I largely agree with (hence it being good, obviously). An interesting fact I didn't know is that one of Nintendo's pre-videogame products was a line of folding paper models, so this is kinda coming full circle for them.

^ There's nothing like having a cardboard headset and backpack strapped to yourself or your kid to make you feel like a real gangster.

I'm just trying to think how 12 year old me would react to this. I don't think 12 year old me would be that thrilled to see this. Looks like it'll break after only a few uses. How much will a replacement cost?

I love the concept but like a lot of people already said, its fragility really buts me off buying it. Even if its something that will mainly be bought by grownups i doubt that cardboard will last that long in any case. If they did the same thing with plastic i would be more interested.
