Aye. Also from my own perspective I've only really come here in recent years to shoot the shit in general. For that purpose the place has become soooooo dull. Still play games now and again, and would rather use potential game discussing time to just play them instead. Purely habit that has me clicking on the bookmark these days than an interest in the place.

Sadly we haven't had a good general topic in awhile it is mostly now filled with topics that are just used to post pics from 4chan. We need some good disscussion.

And when one is attempted people tend to get silly and off topic and ruin the whole thing.

I don't mean any disrespect with my thoughts on this subject. I just love this forum a lot considering that it deals with something that is a huge passion of mine and still is.

We need some type of revolutionary new topic, that is true. Hopefully when Shenmue 3 FINALLY comes out, people will return to the dojo.

Anyway, ten years and a lot of us are still here, very good indeed.

I wonder if the other Shenmue sites are still active.

I signed up, but decided to never ever post. =P I visit the forum on a fairly regular basis but I don't really 'do' debates. I'm not the argumentative type so I just lurk in the background like a spectre. =]

I love gaming more than ever but bored of talking Shenmue

I'll admit, I get bored of gaming a lot. It's hard to enjoy gaming when life gets in the way. Shenmue is about the only single player game besides any elder scrolls that does not bore me when I actually get to play games.

I was on a skyrim topic on an ign forum looking something up when I noticed that the people and topics were fresh. They had fun with the game and each other. I hadn't seen a forum that funny in a long time. Made me miss the old days of the dojo. Now it really is just people enforcing their opinions as fact, and makes for a rather dull place. Its like a force of habit coming here all the time. I feel like I cheated on this place... but it was with the Natalie Portman of forums, so that makes it ok.

I feel the same way. I'm constantly on afterdawn building projects with a team. Whenever I finish a task, I stop for a second and think about the good old days of reversing Shenmue. Sometimes I fire up my DC just to rip a disc with my coders cable for old times sake ;-)

Disgusting accusation. The beginning of the end started here and I called it viewtopic.php?p=805166#p805166

this forum is not just shenmue and gaming, SD members are the craziest and funniest people on the whole internet imo, i'm not a "true" gamer or a shenmue fanatic [maybe a little bit], but i like this forum and all the members..and i feel like i know you personally.
