My dad took a pee on the side of the road outside Snoqualmie a few years ago, one of the places Twin Peaks was filmed.

Random I know. I think we stopped at Burger King there too.

Didn't see anything unusual.

Seen the pilot and the first episode so far. Good stuff. The letters under the fingernails thing has me intrigued especially.
I'm waiting for the show to get really weird though (as I've heard it does).
Quick question (no spoilers please), does the movie actually wrap up the story really well, or is there anything left hanging that's going to bug the hell out of me?
Just wondering what to expect in that regard.

OL this is safe to read and just answering your question.

Quite a bit is explained in the film but also alot isn't. It's nothing that I have hit my head on a brick wall over as in a way it's kind of a good way to end it.

Watched the first episode of the second season of Twin Peaks just now.
Fucking hell.
Great show, but it's like here I am getting all absorbed in this storyline, sitting alone in the dark, I realize how late it is and I'm about to go to bed... and they have to end the damn episode with a freaky-ass barrage of super-loud screaming bloody murder, wide-eyes, and creepy distorted laughter.
I wasn't expecting that. The show has had some weird moments up to this point, but nothing quite so full-blown horror like that.
Now I have to go get my mind on something else, otherwise I'll have some creepy fucked-up dreams and wake up feeling down-as-hell.
Damn you David Lynch.

Hahaha. funny how a series from the early 90s can do that to you. Nothing these days has that effect anymore.

Doctor Who. Really liked the idea of most of the Doctor's enemies teaming up to lock the poor Doc away in a box! But knowing this, its only going to last five minutes and most of "The Alliance" will fall from a single switch.

Ah, Twin Peaks. Wish I could experience that show for the first time all over again, just like you are, Orange.

Currently watching Damages Season 1 and I have to say it's really excellent. A lot of double crossing, conpsiracies and twists in this legal show that really shows the dark side of humanity. Bleak, but profound.

I think I've kind of given up on Twin Peaks now...
The Laura Palmer story in the beginning was excellent, but once that was resolved, the show just spirals down into idiocy. Seriously, I would be watching it by myself, but it was so bad that I was actually embarrassed to be watching it at all.
I don't know if I even want to finish it. I'll see the movie eventually, definitely, but the rest of the tv show... probably not.

To even get the movie your'd need to finish the series. It doesn't have the same spark but I still loved it till the end. The last few episodes are great as that's when Lynch came back to the show.

Yeah Twin Peaks really goes downhill the middle of season two, but the last five or six episodes do make it worth sticking with. Just fast forward through
that god awful subplot with James an Evelyn
