What movie are you watching right now?

Green Lantern is not like First Class, where it takes itself seriously. It's just meant to be a fun movie that thankfully isn't completely retarded.



The way this movie was made was more interesting than the actual movie. Apparently, they actually used 16mm film stock and equipment from the '80s to shoot this film to make it look like it was from the era. They also used a retro title font and soundtrack. Pretty cool stuff.

Other than that, the film is a drag. It takes a long time to build up to the finale which was alright. Most of the time you just see the main character walk around or dance. Oh well.

At least they picked someone totally hot to play the main character. That made the whole thing nearly worthwhile. She looks like a younger Famke Janssen.

I like that apart from the Zion rave/sex scene. Take that out and ive not really got any complaints about it.

First is by far the best but i dont hate much of Reloaded. Revolutions? The fact that only about 20 minutes is set in the Matrix is enough to piss me off.

Only seen the first two but can't even remember the second one. I used to love the first movie but it was shown to us about 15 times at school in a year so I get bored of it quite quickly. They did the same thing with the orginal Shrek.

Going to watch the first Matrix again soon, haven't seen it in so long. Animatrix stands on its own two feet, too. Problem with Reloaded was, it obviously wasn't intended. Seems like when the first went big, WB demanded two more films. After watching it again the obscurities just really stand out. My fondest memory of it back then and still is the Chateau fight scene, though.

Interviews before the first came out say they went with WB with the idea for 3 films but Warner said lets leave it at 1 for now and see how it goes.

But then Joel silver allways said 2 and 3 were ment to be 1 film but they had to split it into 2.

I do think they lost their way after the first film and went down a wrong path. Its also silly that you had to watch the animatrix and play the poor enter the matrix veideo game to get the full story. And again rave/sex scene was lame and the Kid was just terrible in 3.

Ignored the game back then, looked shit anyway. Never watched Animatrix until my own interest in manga peaked enough for me to be interested enough in watching it. May just be because I haven't seen it in a few years but I really think Animatrix stands on it's own. I don't really connect it to the main three films at all. Could be used as a 'fleshing out' kind of thing but as a self contained story I think it's enjoyable enough on it's own..

Shows how bollocks Revolutions was that a minor character from Reloaded now has a major story arc in the last film. I don't even know what his name was, not like I cared enough in the first place, though.
