I think it's funny how everyone jumps to the conclusion that America doesn't punish female sex offenders, yet on a regular basis I see articles on female American sex offender being jailed. Personally, I'm no fan of Americans (and when I say this, I mean I despise the OTT Californians I see on TV and the fucking tourists that come over here), but I honestly don't understand why everyone loves to hate them and their country so much. It's almost as if the world, plus roughly half of America - who're usually aged under 40 - spout propaganda for us to swallow and vomit back up with raw, unrelenting hate.

Does Japan really have the world's lowest rate of sexual assualt? It seems it seems paradoxical to the fact that Japan has such an apparently serious "chikan" problem, From wiki:

according to a survey conducted by Tokyo Metropolitan Police and East Japan Railway Company, two-thirds of female passengers in their twenties and thirties reported that they had been groped on trains, and the majority had been victimized frequently. Authorities have been unable to control groping activities, as trains are too crowded to identify the perpetrators, courts have traditionally been lenient, and victims are too often ashamed to come forward.

I think in part we also have to take into account cultural considerations, and I suspect that many Japanese female victims are more hesitant to come forward and report an assault.

I have no problem with Abe's dig at America though :lol:

Its just someone who wants to take a stab at the U.S. Which granted, stab away cause theirs important issues but ya he probably didnt decided to copy a internet meme into his speech.

Right. We do punish female sex offenders on a regular basis. See it in the local news enough to know.
And ya over the top californians? Like the kardashians or movie stars? Most real californians especially if youre from san diego or san fransisco, hate the L.A star stereo type. But still even, its a minority of snobs. Most of Californians are way to chill to even get caught up in being a bitch about themselves.
