Not much. Been pretty busy lately.
If I do devote any time to gaming, it's usually on the XBOX (I love Ninja Gaiden!) or some Shenmue game I'm replaying.

I understand. Those things are too expensive for me, even though I love the "Metal Slug" and "King of Fighters" games. Anyone could replay Shenmue and love it the fifteenth time through, though, so that makes it pretty special.

Yeah, basically my view right now. I still have my MVS game collection, but I haven't been actively buying or trading any Neo stuff. What can I say? The Neo is now officially dead after SSV Special hits.

Meh. Shenmue will never get old. :D

Yeah, I heard that news from Nuts to That, about Neo-Geo switching over to Sammy's hardware. It's sort of about time, but it's also a bit of a shame. I'm no longer inspired to get a Neo-Geo, though, when I can just play most of the good games on other consoles.

Yeah, I'm trying to do the Fangmei's birthday and meet Wang's brother in Shenmue II right now. I've never done it before.

Yes. The switch to Sammy's hardware has already occured and the results are less than impressive from the first looks. Regardless, I will not support the Atomiswave so I'm not that interested.

Anyway, the Shenmue games are great....loads to do and new things to try it seems! Fangmei's birthday is a cool little extra to strive for. Took me 2 tries to get it to work properly! :) I'm still trying to get a perfect notebook in Shenmue 1! Amazing how a nearly 5 year old game still has that kind of grip on game players worldwide! :)

Well, I tried to do the Fangmei's Birthday event last time through, but the Prima Guide for the Xbox version gives incomplete directions, and after having done everything it asked of me, Fangmei was not outside of that clothing shop. Getting the perfect notebook is probably something I'll try later on.

Yeah, the King of Fighters Atomiswave looks weak; not much of an improvement, and the backgrounds look ugly. Oh well, SNK's heyday has been gone for a while, I guess.

Yes, beware of that XBOX Prima Guide for Shenmue 2! It's riddled with errors and inaccurate information...even some of the QTE commands are just plain wrong! :x After the stellar guides that came out for Shenmue 1, the 2x guide was a disgrace.

The perfect notebook, from my experience, requires an efficient and methodical approach to the game. Basically, plotting out your course in advance and keying the events when the time/weather allows. Not easy, as you basically have to go through the game without really "playing" it (if that makes any sense at all!) :)

I've pretty much come to accept that, sadly. KOF2003 was phenomenal though. Kind of makes you think that there's still some life left in the old Neo, but alas, all good things must come to an end! :)

Yeah, I noticed. The Prima Guide tells me to hit ^, A in the QTE where Dou Niu falls through the floor, but it's actually down, Y. That's a glaring error, but I find ways to get around it. Also, it gives you the wrong names of places in certain spots.

I've always rushed through the games, but this time, I think I'll be buying capsule toys, sparring with Jianmin, etc.

Oh, and I never had a chance to play KOF 2003. Finding an arcade here in Michigan is like finding a strip club in the Vatican.

:rotflmao:

You were talking about his name, saying he had a dash ( - ) in the place of his name. You wound yourself up.

If anyone cares, I did change my handle to a dash for a while, but it looked dumb. I recently changed my handle to Away From Keyboard because I think it sounds and looks much better than my original handle. I'm expecting to be very busy soon, so Away From Keyboard should be a true statement by the end of the week, though...

whiteShadow stole Mai.

By the way, I like the Dreamcast. Freelancer doesn't like it, though, and his opinion is always the correct one. I guess that means I'm a "hardcore anime-loving faggot fanboy".

Freelancer decided to post here because he got flamed for the phrase (quoted above) at his favourite website. (Uh oh!)

Speaking of 2D games, I don't see why people are still playing KoF 2003. (OMG, IT HAS TAG TEAM!!11ONEONE11!!) It gets boring very quickly (mostly because of Duolon), and single player mode is too easy compared to other years. I'm glad my arcade got rid of it. No one played it.

Regarding the current Atomiswave reports, I'm not really paying too much attention to KoF Neowave because SNK isn't really behind that one. Too many people think KoF Neowave is KoF 2004. It's not KoF 2004, but I hope 2004 isn't like 2003. The old SNK is dead, and SNK Playmore hasn't produced anything special yet. I'm waiting to be really impressed by them, and I'm hoping that will happen relatively soon.
