That's why Obama is cool. Don't know much about his politics but most politicians think to highly of themselves to do something as simple as this to a random guy.

I may be naive in saying this, I mean I know Obama is mostly all talk (as any president would be) and that he has done some truly despicable things (given his approval for assassinations and renditions, for starters). But it seems to me that he is probably a decent guy, he's just in an incredibly hard position.
His Healthare reforms (where they ever carried out?) are surely a great thing, no?

This is what I can't understand about Americans. Please help me understand. How can you perceive that your healthcare model does not suck infinitely more than ours?

We don't have to wait several months on a list to have surgery or see a specialist. (unless you need a transplant they don't have for you yet)
Canada has the same healthcare you guys do, and they come here for surgery a lot. A lot of Americans go to Canada for prescriptions but they come here for surgery.

Under social care I would have died and my mom would be cut off and my uncle would be dead. Our system isn't great but I would take it over social care any day.

Works both ways if my Grandad lived in America he would be dead from his heart troubles.
The NHS is one of the best things this country has ever done and one of the reasons that so many people move here.

In about the last 10 years, we've seen the wait times for our health care increase, which is a drag. Other than that, it's one of the best healthcare systems in the world.

This is partly bullshit though. The NHS is often actually very fast. If you have cancer (as my father did), you will get a consultation with a specialist within 2 weeks, and a surgery very soon after if it's needed (again, as my father did). Don't believe all the anti propaganda.
And anyway, if you have the money then you can go private. But when all healthcare is private, what the F**k are you going to do when your out of luck and you have no money to cover the cost's? Die? F**k that.
Might as well become a communism
