Hm, as I feared then. I'm always very sceptical when it comes to horror remakes. Especially because they very often give me a vibe of being too "sterile" due to the flashy production values. I'm one of those who thinks that the grittier quality of some older movies actually enhances the experience.

Well, what a waste of time...
It's as if a group of people gathered around a table and started shouting things people think it's cool about the 30s gangsters, put it all together, but the movie failed so miserably. Not helping they went and use every tired old cliche and over melodramatic crap about people they didn't build up enough for me to care about.

Also, I just can't stand extreme oposites on the character department, the heros are just perfect people and the villains are cold bastards. And there were too many good guys with no personality whatsoever

I just have too much to complain and too little time, dammit!!
And what's wrong with gosling's voice?!?!

Yeah, there's something cool about old school Horror films. But sometimes you run into duds too.

Just watched this. A French movie based on a true story about a rich quadriplegic who employs a young man from the Parisian projects as his carer. An incredibly touching and often hilarious film which I thoroughly recommend. One of the best films I've seen in years.

It was not Tarantino's period, the word best isn't called for. He only lends his name to his friends as a marketing ploy, to the best of my knowledge

Davey Gillen (Brian Milligan) is an IRA volunteer who is sentenced to Belfast's infamous Maze prison, where he shares a cell with fellow IRA member Gerry Campbell (Liam McMahon).

Not an easy watch by any means but I would recommend it.

I watched the dark knight returns (part 1) tonight. It wasn't half bad, but I had such a hard time taking the villain seriously when he has big black spikes for nipples. In every scene, like a train wreck, I just couldn't look away.

I thought that was hilarious. Anyway part 2 is what everyone really wanted to see. Nothing better than watching Bats beating the taste out of 80's Superman.

Watching Hunger Games and all I am seeing is a Hollywood Battle Royal and was not a fan of that movie. So far it's boring to me and don't get the hype. Will try and finish it but so far it's kinda meh.

Just saw Drive with Ryan Gosling.
Not only is he a dreamy love boat.. But the guy is freakin bad ass.
Loved the action sequences, story and characters. Soundtrack was also fitting.
All around great movie.

Watched American Pie The Reunion.

It was funny like the others films but made me nostalgic for school. Usually when I think back to school it's hating being stuck in a classroom for hours on end but this made me remember some good times I had with the people there.

Also there was lots of sex jokes.

Just watched X-Men: First Class yesterday, for the 3rd time this year. I had never seen this movie before and was not interested since it was new cast members. But when I found out about X-Men: Days of Future Past I had to watch First Class, and loved it.
