Obama and Romney are basically the same person but from what I researched on Romney, he seemed a little worse. Too inconsistent whereas Obama is more consistent. But they're both politicians, both showmen. Romney is all talk as Obama is, though I heard Clinton's speech has been fact checked and was said to be right on almost all his points (I want to fact check it myself).

Ron Paul was the closest thing to true change but some of his ideas were too radical and kooky for my tastes.

Kenny posted that he was in his first earthquake this morning on facebook.

And I was for Herman Cain but he got all caught up in a most likely false conspiracy against him.

I typed this in response to something on facebook the other day in regards to the presidential election, and basically explaining why I dont vote.

I dont really care much about the presidential nominees, obama, romney, whoever. It simply too difficult to make an educated judgement about who will be "best", considering the corruption in our government. I dont know those people, they come strolling along every 4 years trying to get our attention, but its like who the fuck are they really? What gang/organization are they with behind closed doors? They dont get campaign money falling from the sky. Also there is that the president is more or less just a puppet anyway, and I wouldnt count out the fact that the real orchestration is probably taking place else where. Too much tyranny and alliances and ambitious people about to put your faith in a vote for a stranger.

I never voted in the past but am now as I do believe our country is near the point of no return and feel this election is crucial for this country to survive.

Things have been steadily improving the last couple of years. Its not gonna get much better for another half decade, but some improvement is better than no improvement.

I sure did. Second one the last few days. I really think we're due for a massive one.

Damn natural disasters.

I have been in some small quakes. One morning like 10-13 years ago I got woke up by one, my room was shaking and everything on my dressers was vibrating and something tipped over on it. Got out of bed and ran to a door frame because my dad was yelling to do so. Lasted at least 20 seconds-30 I'd say. Think it was a 4. The following weeks there were more smaller ones that I felt in the basement.

No one was hurt and the only damage was some cracked walls and foundations at a few buildings.

Earthquakes are really rare in my area though. The news stations in fact made sure it wasn't a sonic boom by contacting the Air Force Base before confirming it was an Earthquake.

You who are you lot voting for?

It's true that I lack a firm understanding of US politics but as I heard one person accurately describe it, from over here it looks like The Sith Lords VS the Jedi.

That's not to say that the Democrats are as noble as Jedi (as it was under the Clinton admin that renditions on foreign soil began taking place, wasn't it?) , but the Republicans just sound so insane and backwards it's not true. Though I do agree that the President (and our PM) is pretty much just a puppet anyway these days.

Pretty much. My dad considers himself a conservative but doesn't like the Republican party much at all.

@ Bluecast
I had it the other way around! I do agree with your last part though.

Does Romney have multiple wives? (genuine question, no Mormon hate)

Also, how do people here feel about obama's NHS style healthcare dream?
