Most recent is one in Georgia. Gee wiz the south..so shocking.
My personal hatred of guns aside. The US does have a 2nd Amendment. The right to bear arms. That is choice.
This violates a persons private rights yet it has passed in some places. What about people who can't afford a gun?
Mentally not fit? Just simply don't want one.

Thoughts?

We need mandatory guns so people can protect themselves against all the other people mandated to get a gun.

^ No, you need mandatory guns to protect yourselves from the likes of Pierce Morgan. He'd never have got a far as he has if we had mandatory in guns in this country; we could have nipped him in the bud.

We need guns to protect us from citizens who have guns to protect themselves from other citizens who have guns because other citizens have guns because other citizens have guns..etc.

I just don't see the point of guns. I'm not that paranoid and scared to own one. I'd get a simple handgun for protection purposes if I felt I needed it however, but that's it.

I actually despise western culture, and often times wish I was born more towards the east.

I've never felt I needed a gun to protect myself living in the UK..

Guns run rampant in GA. I will eventually get one, like it or not you dont wanna get caught with out one at the wrong time. Just as long as they are used for protection purposes, aka responsible people carry them and if only there were some kind of test for responsibility so dumb asses that want to use them to intentionally hurt people couldnt get their hands on them. Making them available to everyone much less having it be mandatory? Scarey thought.

I guess it's possible you might have genuinely been happier in the east, but I sometimes wonder whether people who say that kind of thing are actually being realistic about what the "east" is like. One will encounter much of the same difficulties anywhere in world as far as I can see. There are differences of course, but sometimes I think people can be a bit romantic about the notion of living in places like Japan or China or whatever. Especially as they just as hyper materialistic (maybe even more so now) as the west is. You could argue that their cultures are perhaps less individualistic than ours, but even then there are negatives that go along with that, like the extra pressure to conform and fit in. They are still great places, but I think sometimes people aren't realistic. It's swings and roundabouts, there are plenty of things you could despise about the culture of those eastern countries too.

Always be ups and downs to any place but which up and downs benefit you.
Maybe it would not work out for me but I'd love to at least try. I also love how polite they are. (believe it or not one reason I like Mormons) I don't like they are so open to smoking which I despise. I love the buildings at least the more traditional style decor.

I could be here all day listing ups and downs but ultimately I'd love to at least try. More negatives to me about American culture than positives.

China? I don't think so.
