my friend posted the Blue Waffle thing on facebook the other day, she actually thought it was real, I guess she shared it before she tried to google it. A clever, yet obvious way to get randoms to google blue waffle. I dont see how its believable that blue would be a waffles natural organic color, and why would pesticides be in waffles anyway? Its just as mind numbingly stupid as it is genius

Can you please explain to me just what the fuck is genius about that? I don't understand internet culture, I really don't. This shit is literally the internet equivalent of getting unwitting gullible kids at school to write "pen15" on themselves or something. And as shitty as that is, I can least see where a 12 year old prick might get a laugh out of it . But with this thing, where does the little shit (who is very likely a grown man) who thought this up even get his kicks from? Does he think something like this: "booyaaa! I'm sure a bunch of un-cynical non-internet nerd types have googled blue waffles, and are now reading about a vaginal disease on Yahoo Answers instead of the tasty treat they were expecting! Can I get a fist bump"?

I think what makes that so powerful (despite it being so retarded) lies in the fact that so many people actually believe it, something is powerful when it sways the opinions of many, whether its intelligent or not. People will believe fucking anything they read on FB now a days. I have seen so many damn satire articles that people have shared and that I could naturally be able to call as bullshit, and think "there is something off about this", but then I read comments below that make my brains want to melt out my ears and it makes me worry about the human race in general, yet I can still find the humor is idiots I suppose. Somewhere there is someone making a ton of money off the exposure to these bullshit articles people think are legit and share all over facebook, there is the most likely answer, but not as much to the blue waffle thing itself but in the same ball park I would imagine, its all for attention and profits.

All it did is make me long for another Bruce Timm-designed Batman project. There's just a different quality to the animation when it's his work, compared to all of the more recent DC animated stuff.
