2013 Reflections, 2014 Resolutions

What have you done this year? What do you want to do next year?

I'm not particularly fond of New Year's resolutions as I prefer more short-term goals, but we did this on another forum I frequent and it was pretty interesting so thought I'd try it here.

I'll throw some of mine out to get this thing started.

Start writing something everyday. At least one letter.
Start composing something everyday. At least one note.
Maintain my pace of 1 - 3 hours of Japanese TV everyday.
    Finish my book backlog.
    Watch more movies.
Get more foreign language speaking practice on Skype.
Go out to more live shows.
Hit some full voice A4s that don't sound like shit.
    Discover some new artists.
Eat some weird shit just for the hell of it.

I think thats all I got for now. What about you guys?
Remember to keep 'em nice and vague so they're easily accomplished.

Not a big fan of resolutions either. They're always broken a few days after making them.

But there are goals I have, some more important than others, that I hope to accomplish this year:

1. Shoot that movie I'm still planning.
2. Get another script finished.
3. Learn basic French.
4. Shoot smaller scale stuff like music videos and commercials.
5. Finish Cokehead Issue #1.
6. Start working out again.
7. Get that arm tattoo.

Good topic.
Well some of you may know where im already going with this.

1. Step my Kanji game up. Like way up.. it's a constant source of guilt at this point that I should have learned more by now.

2. The classic loose some weight, eat better, go to the Gym more. Would like to loose 15lb's before I move. I go to the gym once or twice a week. I need to stay there longer though and do a third day.

3. Save money. Although i'll have no choice next year as i'm taking a huge pay cut to change careers and location.

3. work more often on my game
4. go on holiday

Well other then getting a mortgage and going to Berlin for the first time I don't have much planned for 2014. The only reason I'm going to Berlin is because it's a friends stag do. Never been one for setting goals and just take life each day at a time.

2013 was shit, in 2014 I intend to...

- See the Blues lift the title again.
- Move out. Again.
- Work my bollocks off.
- Get wasted on a much more regular basis.
- Smoke cigs less, smoke spliffs more.
- Start paying shit off.
- Begin my Masterplan.

2013 was alright, on the one hand I spent yet another year in a pretty shitty dead end job without making any concerted effort to better the situation, on the other I finally learned how to drive and bought my first car, even at my age it was still quite a feeling of accomplishment.

For 2014 I really want to improve my job situation, I'm so unmotivated though, the whole thing was supposed to be a temporary thing to cover me for Christmas 2011 and I'm still there.

You're gonna love Berlin. The nightclubs, the beer, the food, the people. I really want to go back.

The person organising it has already booked a beer bike for us to ride around one evening for an hour so that should be a laugh. I'm not a fan of nightclubs myself but since this is a stag do some people have said we're pretty much going to live in a strip club each night.
