Picked up a few sweet items to add to the collection this week. Again, these seem to be pretty rare to come by. There are still 1 or 2 items i would love to add, so hopefully there may be more to come in the future. Very pleased with the iast item btw!!

Most definitely agree buddy. My passion for Shenmue knows no bounds. But i will be the first to admit that after the DC, my knowledge of the gaming industry as a whole begn to diminish. Its so hard to know and love everything about all of the gaming world in this day and age, so concentrting my passion for one specific franchise and one specific gaming company suits me a whole lot better. With worknig two jobs and looking after my family, its easier to stay in tune with the one materialistic thing i love. Hell Shenmue has always a part of me. Thats why i am perfectly comfortable with having it tattooed on my body. Its a part of me.

I could comfortably say i know every fact there is to know about Shenmue, and what items can be bought for a colection. What is missing, whats rare, whats its vlue, its worth, its legitimacy/fakeness. Oh and i sill dont believe the saga is finished. I always will believe that there will be at least another 1 more Shenmue game released on a console. Never will that belief disappear. I dont mean that in a fanboy way, its just a gut feeling i have, and not necessarily a blind hope of something thats realistically impossible.

Another thing i love about my Shenmue collection, is that it was the eye opener to the true definition of what a "collection" really is. Its the reward of patience, effort, negotiation, passion, and also evena little bit of luck. Finance doesnt even enter into the equation. For example, if someone gave me Action Comics issue 1, i wouldnt see the comic in my hand, i would see milions of dollars simply because i have no passion for comics. Sure i got Panzer agoon Saga for nothing ni a games bundle, and i could give it away tomorrow with no care for it at all. But with my Shenmue collection, i dont think i could sell it for any price. Its not about money. Each item i have a love for, and know where, when and how much i paid for it. Also remember the excitement of finally holding it in my hands.

I never understood that when people talked about their collections of things they were passionite about, untili started collecting Shenmue items. I wouldnt part with it for anything.

Where the hell have you been buying your stuff from recently Peter? Ebay has been dead for Shenmue items for a while.

I scour the web for Shenme items. Even sometimes use Google translation to negotiate with sellers in Japan. Ironically i have never had a problem with an item reaching me or anything. You really just have to click and look at everything, from onlnie shops, to ebay, to asking sellers if they know anyone else with rare Shenmue collectibles. You also need to be dillignat, i mean i check ebay.com, .co.uk, .co.jp, .es, .au i mean i check them all with excitement, to see if there is anything new. Ecrater got a few nice things from etc.

Its just a case of being disciplined, and also lucky

I have a semi-weird question for you guys. Lately I've been saving my tip money (which isn't much. I usually get about 5 dollars a night if I'm lucky) and putting it aside to buy something gaming related. I've decided that I want to get something for my Shenmue collection... which is pretty pathetic at the moment. So far I have Shenmue 1 on DC, Shenmue 2 on X-Box, and the Shenmue VHS Tape. Which item should I get next? I have 50 dollars saved up but I don't mind waiting.
