well i saw this topic and saw that i had microsoft atlas on my cd rack... i though it mite be interresting to put in some of the shenmue places and see what came up. i was typin places like guilin etc and well jsut found some info but clikc on the web thing and it put me on this page... i think it helps if ur have a hotmail account to see some of it:

I tried typin in miao (off that loading screen some ripped out of the game) there are a few places by that name in china but i think miao is the name of the people there or sumfin anyway i gtg... see what you guys can find on that site by typin in kowloon etc

i have a chance to gonext year. if i join the military one year before i graduate i get one year to spend $50,000 and i will use that to travel to shenmue locations on the governments exspence.

thats kind of sad, i love jay and silent bob but i'm not going to WASTE $50,000 on going to new jersey and buying all kinds of view askew merch

I can help if you want. I found most Shenmue II locations, I will post them here so it's easier for you or whoever else to look for the exact places where that Ryo visits.

my name is fred..and i am a german that used to work and live for one year in japan (chiba/tokyo bay). i actually found that the area where i was working in was looking a lot like actual shenmue locations. maybe thats due to that every japanese industrial area looks rather similar, but i thought i'd post some pics of it even though

in the search of warehouse 8 ;) (close to my workplace...)




my daily bus to work..i also thought this one looks a bit like the one that ryo takes to the harbour..
