So I just got back from Tokyo. It was neat. I went to Dobuita Street and as expected, it wasn't quit the same as the game. However, it was still fun to go see. Here is a link to my collection of Japan photos on flickr.

I uploaded some photos from Osaka, Nara, and Yokohama/Yokosuka. I am about to upload photos from Tokyo here shortly, but it might take some time because I took alot. So please feel free to take a look again tomorrow when all the photos will be up!

Good stuff. I'll be staying in the same place you stayed in Tokyo when I go in May. Thanks again for that. Hopefully I can get a decent camera by then so I can put up some pictures.

I stayed with a friend of mine in Machida which is the southern most part of what is still considered Tokyo. It was pretty nice. Yokosuka was about an hour away.

EDIT: Also, I think I found the area in Kabuki-cho that resembles the main area in Yakuza. First of all, I definitely saw some Yakuza walking around. Second, they straight up asked me and my friend if we wanted to fuck any girls. Three, the place looked just like it.

If you can afford it, I would highly recommend it. Its a great experience. I wouldn't just stay in Tokyo though. Honestly, I kind of prefer Osaka. Try to check out as many places as you can.

Sorry for bumping an old topic, however I live in Japan and this landscape reminded me a lot of Yokosuka. This was taken on my way to the grocery store. I am about an hour from Yokosuka though. Image

That image indeed reminded me the "Road to Amihama":

That street is absolutely filled with signs and stuff, kinda giving a Hong Kong vide. I quite like that look!
And it seems in the 70s sailors were easier to find aswell.
