Postby kppgno » Thu Dec 17, 2009 3:54 am

So I picked up a mint copy of Shenmue 1 for like 20 bucks off of ebay... only problem... I don't have a dreamcast to play it on :\ lol

Anyway.. I'm glad to say I own Shenmue 1 and 2.. :)

Anyway.. I might pick up a dreamcast just for this game one day..

Good for you.

And why did you join in 2007 if you've never played Shenmue before? :?

Price sounds about average. I payed £17 for mine a month or two back and Shenmue 2 cost me £32!! I never owned the first game until now and I had to replace my Shenmue 2 because of disc read error.

Maybe he had Shenmue II, Henry.
Anyway, good catch even if a bit (bit...) late...
Better late than never.
Go fetch a Dreamcast, it's still thinking!

yu payed 32 for Shenmue 2?

Is that the DC version or the xbox?

I payed 2.99 (Canadian) for shenmue 2 xbox. at ebgames.. I even saw like 7 copies of them the day I bought it.

Anyway.. ill see if I can borrow a friends DC or something .. I don't want to buy a DC any time soon for one game.

Hmm.. If I knew the value for S2 was higher I would have bought tham all and sold them on ebay

The Xbox version is worth peanuts, so no surprise you got such a cheap deal on it. My copy of Shenmue II on DC cost me £35, which was reasonable at the time considering the crazy bids going on at eBay.

As an impulse buy, a Dreamcast wouldn't be a bad purchase if you can find one cheap enough. I got mine for £10 console-only.

I wouldn't buy another copy for Xbox. DC all the way. I also picked up ready 2 rumble 2 for 99p and VF3 for £1.99.

Cheers mate. I guess they don't say that as much in Canada. My DC is quietly resting along with my VMU. I have no controller.

I got my North American copy of Shenmue for 30 Canadian dollars (about 22 American) back in 2001. I rented it first then I bought it because it was just so amazing. Look at me now pretty much my whole life is influenced by the effects of Shenmue and the culture associated with it.
