Shenmue Dojo

I've had my watch for 3 weeks now, really enjoying it. It's nice being reminded of Shenmue whenever i check the time.

We're talking about this watch again? I have it, don't wear it anymore. It's a piece of junk. Looks better in the game. I used to use it to time when to take something out of the stove, or when the laundry was finished, stopped using it when the alarm would work 50% of the time. I'm also wearing suits 5 days a week and would look terrible with these threads. If you see one for sale for some inflated price, my advice is save your money, there are far better products out there.

Bringing this up but anyone knows someone selling it ? Not the fake one, but the one where Shenmue is written on it and comes with original box ?

You mental? No one here has one I think. They are the rarest of rare Shenmue items. I can't even remember one ever being for sale outside of Japan.

Yeah i know how rare it is lol. I was going to buy one last year (700 dollars) but the guy put it up on ebay and was sold before i could get it, so close.

I live in Japan so i could always check out stores, but my recent shopping in akihabara was no luck. This is definetly the most expensive Shenmue item out there (unless someone comes out with a playable version of the sega saturn... but doubt it). And if i can get my hands on it, I'd be relieved and keep going with my collection.

Guess i will just enjoy my incoming Shenmue item in the mean time ! (a rare one aswell)

PS : if anyone has contacts in China, i am also looking for another item (never seen on the net. never been sold and remains a mystery so i will avoid posting a picture) but if someone has contacts in China, i need some video game shops hunters. Thanks

I have both official watches. The Timex Metals 100 digital I got from eBay a couple of years ago. I purchased the analogue one from Yahoo Auctions Japan via a proxy only about 4 months ago. There were actually about 3-4 of them listed on there in the last year. I missed out on the first few, but got the last. I haven't seen any listed since then.

If you're looking online, YAJ is about the only place you will find either watch.

４ months ago ? I was checking YAJ back then but never seen it. It was the official one with the Shenmue Box ? If so do you mind PM ing me with price you had to pay ? Im trying to keep track of its price since 2011.

But it also comes from extensive searching for Shenmue merchandise. I've honestly been looking almost daily for the past few years.

How do you buy via Yahoo Auctions in Japan, Mitsuzuki?

Hey Fenix- you'll need to find a proxy site- A company that will purchase items from places like YAJ or Amazon Japan on your behalf. You'll have to spend a fee for their service; usually a percentage of the final auction cost plus whatever shipping cost to send to you.

There are a bunch out there so if you're interested, google away and find one that suits you best.
