This Beta allow to play the road to amihana without the bike¿
I see it can be used to play in Beta Zones but nothing about the Road to Amihama, i want to explore that zone since i play shenmue for the first time 10 years ago

sorry to bump this old topic but i finally got around to burning this beta today so i could look around the beta areas.

problem is i cant get ryo to move when i load up the beta area.

i want to look around
JD99 - Sakuragaoka Beta (0,1,2 hangs)
JU99 - Yamanose Beta (Enter 0,1,2 hangs)

i have 'continue OFF'
SCENE 01 (i'm using the first disc)

i tried changing the 'entry' value on all entry options between 0 and 99 but ryo remains locked and wont move.(is this what kyodai means by 'hangs'?

clock is still moving and ryo is in idle animation but just wont move. i can still reset the game by pressing x+b+a+Y+start, so it must be picking up my controller.

i tried changing controller ports but it didn't work.

i think wude mentioned this problem in an earlier post but i don't think he ever said how he got around it. any help would be great.

The problem you are facing it seems to be relative with the maps of Shenmue. Therefore, in order the beta areas of Shenmue to be playable, you have to swap the relevant maps. For example, in order "JD99 - Sakuragaoka Beta" to be playable, I think, you have to swap its map with the one of "JD00 - Sakuragaoka" (out of memory, if I am not mistaken the normally playable version of Sakuragaoka is JD00).
