Shenmue Dojo

Hey hey, everyone. This might sound like a bit of a weird question, but do you any of you have food-related memories of Shenmue?

For example, when I used to play the game back in the day, I would pretty much always have chocolate biscuits (or 'cookies' for our non-biscuit-word-using brothers and sisters ) and milk while I played. It probably started when I just so happened to be eating those things when I was playing the game one day, but then it turned into some kind of mental association over time, and therefore became a 'Shenmue food', if you will . (Maybe I have some form of synesthesia, but whatever...)

Do you have any? .

I remember also having the flu when I first completed ghost hall building!!!
The smell of microwavable burgers still haunt's me today.

I associate it with Sarma. That's a delicious turkish dish. Good'ol memories. Also I associate it with Kolonya. A turkish parfume(?). Whenever I smell i think of Shenmue and Digimon World cuz thats what I used to clean the discs.

I only have a real food sensaton with shenmue 2, which were rice waffles, that I used to eat back then. haven't eaten them in over a decade though

I don't have food related memories like the others, where I instantly think about some food during certain scenes in the games. However, I really enjoy to eat a cup of instant ramen when I play Shenmue. It just gives the perfect vibe!
It's also really funny to open a can of cola the same moment Ryo does. But the drink has to be enjoyed. No need to gulp it down like Ryo.

Original Coca-Cola and Japanese food for days, haha.

great idea. be assured during my next playthrough i will eat sushi and drink soda cans
