Playing through Shenmue again, bought the Chinese waiter a knock-off Fanta, noticed it was a Winning Can, the twat drank it and then threw it away. Tried to fish out the can from the bin, no luck. Ungrateful shit...

I didn't think it was possible for it to be a winning can when you buy a drink for Wang... In all my years playing the game it's never happened once

Wish I'd taken a photo with my phone! I thought it was a Fanta at first due to the yellow/orange colour, then I noticed the bullseye...

I'll use #YouaskYu to ask Suzuki-san why Wang would throw away a Winning Can.

I think in all of our collective times buying that fucker a drink this would of happened more often if it's possible.

I guess they just didn't program it specifically not to happen? I mean, why would they? The chances of it are pretty low, and it's not like there's any consequence to him getting a winning can, he just tossed it in the bin.

Excuse my ignorance, but what's a winning can? I've bought 2 drinks for Wang in my rediscovery game and all he's done is lob the can in the bin and tell me how busy the restaurant is - despite there being no more than one customer in at any one time. Lying bastard.

I gotta say though, I didn't think it was possible to buy Wang a winning can. I've never seen it happen.

Winning can had some Shenmue Passport functionality back in the day as well (VMU icons): http://shenmue.wikia.com/wiki/Winning_Can

I guess it would have been extra work to code in Wang not having a winning can, so why would they bother? Says there's 1/10 chance of getting one, I googled "shenmue wang winning can", surprised this hasn't come up before? The way he held it you couldn't see Shenhua or the small bullseye, but you could see the outer rings of the bigger bullseye.
