So I moved to Tokyo for a year and I am on the hunt for some rare Shenmue and Dreamcast items to take home. I have already tried Akihabara in all the famous places but after talking with a member of staff in one of the stores they told me they only really sell Shenmue 1, 2 and US Shenmue. I was wondering if anyone knows of some less known places to try for good value rare Shenmue/dreamcast stuff. I have a huge Shenmue collection at home. Just trying to add to it. Also look out for more Dobuita pictures soon as B_ren is coming over to visit and I will be taking him there!

Found my first rare item. I didn't think they sold what's Shenmue with Shenmue 1? Great deal for £11 all together though!

That is a damn good deal. Sadly I am not familiar with Tokyo or else I'd spill the beans.

Since you are in Tokyo for a year you should try to attend the game symphony japan concert in July.

Will give you a holla when over for the KS dinner. Could be a good meetup with the list of names there!

Damn, Tokyo for a year? Isn't that like the most expensive city in the world (or close to it)?

That sounds great! I would love that.

Yeah it is fairly expensive but I am working here so everything is affordable. I work for an English conversation school and I sometimes talk about how I want to visit Dobuita. They mostly laugh and wonder why I would want to visit that place!

I spent a week there and blew $2000, so you're just about right.

What were you doing in order to spend so much in a week?

I still remember when both Snoopbob and Bren first messaged me on MSN as young teenagers all excited about Shenmue. It's very cool to see this now and remembering how you guys were back then.

It was such a strange feeling to be somewhere that we once discussed visiting when we were kids/ young teenagers. I'll be able to upload some more pics when I get back home.
Total awesome place to visit, we are now part the small group of dedicated fans that went out our way to travel there.

When the Shenmue saga is finally finished it would be so amazing to go on a tour of all the locations. Dobuita to Hong Kong to Guilin and beyond.
