If/when Shenmue HD is released - Vita port as well?

So I've been playing a lot of HD remasters on my vita recently and I know a few years back there was a trend of HD remasters being released for the vita as well as ps4/3 like jsr and ffx. Do you think there would be any chance for this happening nowadays for Shenmue? Or would anybody want that as well? The idea of a portable Shenmue 1 and 2 has been in my head since the psp homebrew days, I'd love for it to happen.

The Vita is a "dead" console, so no. The only other portable consoles are the 3DS and the Switch, so who knows: considering Sega's relationship with Nintendo, maybe they could release them on one of them (that is, if Sega is interested)? Shenmue on the Switch could be especially interesting

A Switch port would be intresting. Imagine playing Shenmue on the go. Let's hope Sega actually does release it.

Vita is dead and S3 is a Sony console exclusive. So Vita no and any console other than PS4 doesn't seem very likely either. If the port happens at all, that is.

Yeah, I've gotta agree with those above. I've had my PSV since launch and it died almost as quickly as Dreamcast did. It released Feb 2012 and they stopped creating/porting AAA games to it in early to mid 2014. As soon as that happened, the system was dead to me. It now sits on my shelf waiting for the time when I want to replay a game on it or when I want to remote play a PS4 game on it. Neither happens often.
The likelihood of a Shenmue Collection being on the PSV is about as likely as winning the lotto and then not getting taxed on it.

Not exclusive. Coming to PC and a xbox version has been hinted

It is coming to PC, but an Xbox version hasn't been hinted. Some dodgy reports have claimed as much, but they're misinterpretations at best.

Well, nothing that's not first party will ever stay exclusive I guess, so we'll see about Shenmue's exclusivity. Even in the Kickstarter FAQ they didn't rule out other versions and stated something along the lines of "nothing has been decided yet" instead. Timed console-exclusivity on PS4 is obviously guaranteed, but who knows what happens a year after SIII's release.

Yeah, I'm not saying it won't come out for Xbox One - that's still anybody's guess. I'm just clarifying that it's never been hinted at by anyone involved.
