I think know the technical reason for all these hassles, I used a function to delete the file that are identical by burning them only one time on the disc to gain size. I have to redo the iso removing this function because some Dreamcast does not support this mode.

The problem is that Shenmue CD 2 does not fit on a CD-R 80 with all NPC voice...

I should delete a voice packet, will you be interested in such a version?

Did you used an old mkisofs or the mkisofs-md5 version? The older ones used a system that had bad positives and therefore caused issues.

Give it a try. That's the version I've used for WS/S1/S2/other DC patchers.

Any of those versions should suffice, I use MinGW's.

Kogami is using that lba because of the cdda required for shenmue 1 to work properly.
Feel free to use the sort order from my shenmue undub version.
Look and see what the lba is for the cdda and sort file and make an optimized version using that.
You can use anything you want from my version.

To create a compatable GDEMU iso I use BootDreams. I do it using the DiscJuggler option.

1. Dump all necessary game files into a selfboot folder for Discjuggler.
2. Modify 1ST_READ.BIN and IP.BIN with Binhack tool.
3. Open BootDreams and choose Selfboot folder with all the game files.
4. Disc Format: Shenmue 1 use Data\Data. For Shenmue 2 use Audio\Data.
5. Press process to start creating a iso image. When it asks you to scramble the Naomi binary press "No".

Both me and LanDC use this method to play modified game images on the GDEMU.

GDEMU is not region free (yet). But you can just put Codebreaker on there, load that first and then switch to the desired image with the button. My Dreamcast is a PAL machine.

I deleted the FREE01.AFS file for reduce in size, you will not have the voices of NPC.

Start the game "New Game" and check that the voices are in Japanese with English subtitle (hoping that the game boot with GDEMU).
