A sushi chef has never looked so good in a screenshot.

Still can't believe that was from 1999. The best looking PC game at that time was Half Life. It wasn't even close to SHenmue

View from my window.

I did this while glitching. Zoomed in from the roof and took this pic. Looked like a window. :-o

Herb shop where Ren asks you to ring the bell. Ren unfortunately is too low poly to really look good. Besides the details in the scene i also like the details in dialogue, like when Ren tells you about this insect that turns into a plant. I guess many people missed tehse dialogues.

Ren looks like an early Virtua Fighter character in that shot.

Must of missed that one. How does it activate, for future reference?

I believe you just wait and don't ring the bell to get Yang's attention Ren starts getting annoyed but starts talking about other things too.

I always love the human anatomy picture in Yangs shop.

Can i ask a question though, in regards to making a DLC Shenmue HD? How would it work if you go into FP view and zoom in with the L/R triggers? Will it remain in HD? Could that be why its not being developed/taking so long?

Sorry if thats a stupid question btw

It makes you think though. Maybe a little too much. It's a trick question in a way. I believe it would still be HD.

yes, everything is rendered in high definition it's not related to the camera but the game itself so no matter the view everything stays in HD

So then, would the rendering of each texture take this long for a Shenmue HD to be released? Sorry again, but i am not fully advanced in the technology. I an only follow a train of thought in my head, [i]a lá[/a] Sheldon Cooper

I'm not sure actually, I think they just redesign it to output in 720p, basically it's similar to what nullDC does when you upgrade the output resolution or using a vga cable with the DC, the most work probably applies to coding to make it compatible with current gen consoles, but if they actually work on the textures themselves I don't think so (though apparently they have uncompressed versions of the shenmue textures so if they wanted to they could actually use these)

I guess you could compare it to upgrading your glasses, it improves the view but not actually what you're looking at
