Ive made some advancements in hacking and hijacking the AI in Shenmue.

Here is an older demonstration where I take over the kitten with Ryo.

I am applying these methods to Wang and so far its been pretty successful.

Will update when further advancement occurs.

the latest update was a session i had done when trying to fool the game engine into letting me control NPCs. I got it to work with the kitten but since its splicing the cat with Ryo's motion data I get a blur of animations interupting each other.

As for wang, its a bit smoother lol.

Update:
So far I have been more tests that revolve around the process in the video above. Pivoting Ryo into NPCs to adopt their animation cycles.

Its been effective so far but a lot of work still needs to be done to fool the engine into unlocking ALL of Wang's animations and triggers into a mapped player scenario.

What you are seeing here is an invisible Ryo riding a bike.

I froze the game load sequence using some hardware hacking. I froze it before it loads everything from humans.afs and crashes. So we have a working hybrid motion data.

I usually dont like to show incomplete work but here you go.
