Any news Kogami? How far is Disc 3 for 80min? And also will you be making any changes to your first 2 discs? I was going to burn them again but just wanted to make sure if you were going to upload a new version. Thanks bro!

Finally I found the problem, It is a good news but also one bad news.

This is the function -duplicates-once which makes this game launch of more random.

It will be difficult to pass this command to bring Shenmue on a CD-R 80. He'll have to further reduce the audio file to reduce in size.

The CD 3 is likely to not enter a CD-R 80 with fonction -duplicates-once.

The version CD-R 99 does not contain the function -duplicates-once, and I do not think distributing a version CD-R 80 with file audio delete.

For me this story is over, I do not come back on this issue. Now you are free to make your own CD-R 80 version if the one I propose you do not satisfy you.

I can devote myself now to the finalized of Shenmue Undub CD 3.

I would like it if you could fix the problem Kogami. I dont care if you have to reduce audio quality to make 80min version work better. I dont have the knowledge to do any of this, so its hard for me. But if you dont want to do it, then its ok too.

I will use the version you have then if you won`t fix it. :) No problem brother. I did ask Snarky from ReviveDC if he can look at your 80min version and fix it up.

Going to start playing Disc 1 & 2 for 80min. Can`t wait for the 3rd disc for 80min! Thanks for all your hard work Kogami.

By the way just in case if your still looking to fix the problem, Atreyu187 from ReviveDC said you could do it more easier this way:

``If he uses hard linking it will allow only one instance of the file and the reference will be changed in the LBA to reduce the system from seeking all over the disc to look for the files. Snarky or a Linux user can do this easily.``

Alright Snarky from ReviveDC also gave me a comment on the issue:

``It's because duplicates-once doesn't thoroughly check that the files match before it links them. It's a useless command, and no one should use it to be honest.``

Just thought it might help you if you do decide to fix up the 80min version. :)

Jesus Christ! Lol
That's five posts in a row without even waiting for a reply. Can't you just edit your first post over again if you really have to. This thread is a complete mess because of it.

Think I'll stay away from this thread till the mods have cleaned it up a bit.

Kogami, you are a legend.

I haven't played Shenmue in yearrsssss. At least now when i go back, it truly will be a new experience with the Jap dub.

I've always had an attachment towards Ryo's english voice though.

Available on the first page.

Shenmue Undub [PAL-E] CD-R 99:
Shenmue Undub Disc 1 (CD-R 99)
Shenmue Undub Disc 2 (CD-R 99)
Shenmue Undub Disc 3 (CD-R 99)

The release CD-R 80 come later (I do not know yet if it will be possible to propose this version).

Thanks! :) Appreciate you`r work. But hopefully you do finish 80min, It would be a waste having disc 1 & 2 with no disc 3. If you can`t fix the problems with 80min then hopefully you can at least finish disc 3 for it. If you do plan on fixing the issue, use hardlinking and not duplicate-once, either way I hope you finish Disc 3 for 80min. Maybe ReviveDC can work on it if you can`t fix it. Thanks!
