*NOTE: This technique is a older way of ripping models, you can now use Yazgoo's MT5 Model extractor which is currently in the alpha stages of production. Note that it only works for Shenmue 1 currently. *

thank you for this videos.

But i don t find drkpvr_win32.dll file for null ....

Does anyone know where i can find it.

Another little question, i have seen that 3d ripper can save the export file into .obj file.
is it work?
Because i havn't got the plugin for max which allow to import .3dr file.

Thanks.

BTW, Mooti (frome shenme master forum) give me his save for NullDC (there is save of cd1, 2, 3, 4 of shenmue 2 and some save of shenmue).
it is save of euro version but i think it should work with US one.
I think it could interest some of you.

Here's NullDC with all plugins and crap, directly from my HDD. This is what i use.

obj export works in theory, but actually it always got me distortet crap models. So i use 3d max 7 to import these, save as 3ds and import into vue.

Thanks for the shenmue saves, been asking for that since ages.

thank Master Kyodai .

I have a last question.

I have tried to rip some model of shenmue 2 (shenHua), but i have two problems.

1/ When i install 3dripperDX, it ask me of i want to instal a plugin which allow to import .3dr into 3dsmax.
So i say yes, i want to instal for 3dsmax 2010 (i have 3dsmax 2009 too but it does propose to instal the plugin for this version).
then i launch nulldc with 3dripper and i make the capture.
I launch 3dsmax 2010 (32bit), i go to import, and i can't import the .3dr file ....
And there is nothing into C:/programeFiles/Autodesk/3dsmax2010/plugin :(

2/so i go back to 3dripper and i ask him to save the file into .obj.
But when i import it into 3dsmax, the file is too big to be imported (more than 20 000 poly).
Then i try to do a selection when i import the file (10 000 poly)
So i have some part of the scene but with no texture......

does anyone has a solution???

thank you.

When you install 3d ripper dx it asks you if you want to install the 3d max plugin, yes. Make sure there that the correct version is ticked and the correct path is given.

I have 3d max 7 which works fine, no idea about 2010.

obj support on 3d ripper dx is terrible, i have not had any good results with it, so i gave up and go via 3d max 7. Otherwise i would not use 3d max, but for me as a vue user this is the only way i can get "perfect" models (in a sense that they look like in 3d max).

"hm, it doesn t ask me a path to instal the plugin ....
it asks me a path for 3dripper dx and that is all...

when you go to C:/.../autodesk/3dsmax/plugins, is there a file like "3dripper plugin" ?"

[edit]

forget my last message.
in fact the plugin is for 3ds Max Design 2010, and i have 3ds max 2010.
It seems that 3ds Max Design 2010 and 3ds max 2010 is not the same sofware .....

I have the plugin at C:\3dsmax7\plugins where it belongs in 3dmax7 and its working fine.

The path is directly right of the box that you have to tick to install the plugin.

You're right!

I have another option; trying to download everything in the office. We don't use the fu**** Vista there.
The computer is old but i'm sure it will work.
