Was worried how megauploads closure would affect past and present Shenmue works. I know me and Ziming used it for various stuff down the years, and to be honest i couldnt remember my password anyways so God knows what i have lost.

But Kakuzawa, can you not just mod up a Shenmue III? :P

Thanks! Yeah I feel the loss of megaupload and now btjunkie too

Hey Kazukawa, I know this is off topic but is there a coordinates document for S2? Some type of document that lists key location coordinates in S2?

Well, it is kinda like: "'The impossible we do overnight; miracles take a bit longer"

Short answer: no.
Long answer: Since the game uses each map for each place I don't know what you mean by "key location coordinates". In my editor I only implented change of coordinates based on the place you saved game. For example: you're near closed doors so you add/subtract Ryo's steps in direction which you think will get you past the doors. While it is possible to show these values I think it will bring too much mess. If you are intereseted in (for example) coordinates for Ghost Town take a look at modified maps archive.

Thanks for your appreciation :D

On side note, I'll have to search my PC for hud-less patch for Dreamcast and Xbox which I "released" some time ago.

Ahh gotcha. I got to mess with the save editor. This is great work!

When I asked about the key locations, I was under the impression that the coordinate values were derived from some type of origin and not ryo's current position. Dude, you did a great job on this program! It is alot of fun to mess with 2X and your program made it so much easier.

Actually, it's the climax of a famous Kabuki play called "Renjishi." Here's the authentic performance:

Skip to 12:00, if you want to see the climax only. Learn more about "Renjishi" here, if you like:

The save editor doesn't seem to work properly for me, I loaded a save to the editor, changed the money quantity in the money box, and then save, but when Ioaded it into the game the money quantity didn't change, it shows the same amount I had before I edited the save. Also, when I loaded the already edited save back to the editor the money amount changes to different number?.... Some of the click options in the other tabs of the editor like maps for example did work. Any ideas whats the issue with the type in options in the the first tab of the editor that don't stick? thanks

Just to remind you, these type-in fields requires to "accept" values with enter key, otherwise they are not save.
But I will take a look into that. Except money was there any problem with type-in fields and values?

I haven't tried any other type-in fields only the money one, and yes I pressed enter after I finished typing the amount. BTW I'm running win 7 64bit service pack 2, and using a NTSC game save.

Also some minor additions as well:
like real values of X,Y,Z coordinates of Ryo (only visible, not editable)
added "hint" to tap Enter key after completion of text areas
added error messages when not expected values are input by user
    caught errors in suitable exceptions
