Announcing Shenmue HUD remix. Coming 2014. PC.

Beautiful Loading Screens:
Panoramas and HD Loading Screens for all major areas.

Redone HUD: - Controller Themes:- HD Inventory: High Quality User Interface:



(Not final, just shows an example of the HUD.)

(The controller themes will only support Playstation initially and then Xbox and PC later.
PC config will be NUllDC default setting.)

You can also see some of the controller themes and the HD invertory. Most are made from the HD textures from when you can manipulate them in game, rather than sprites. Others are redrawn entirely.

(yes all of this is in-game as such there are a few minor graphical glitches.)

I like the idea, and the watch looks pretty decent, but everything else is a bit of an eyesore.

Yeah, I'm still working on it. Especially the HUD and the redrawn inventory items. As for the HD non redrawn ones, those are how they look when you examine in-game, so there's that. I welcome any suggestions.

The poster says NOZOMI on the left, and on the top it says Canada's #1 Top Single. On the bottom it says Forgetting You.

The idea is that after Nozomi went off to Canada she became an 80's popstar, and frustrated with Ryo, she wrote a song about her true feelings and how she means to let him go. xD

I like the idea with the PlayStation button icons. We might have to get used to them for the future... haha.

But, let me ask you, so as to fill this particular knowledge gap of mine. I will make a guess, this project intents to replace the HUD (and possibly and other textures) of Shenmue II with relative HD stuff? That means, in the end, a new image file (ISO/CDI/etc) will be created that will use all these in the game / in playable form?

Yes. I'll have to repackage the textures into a new CDI. OR, if users wouldn't mind I could just upload the texmod package, it'll have to be configured... Though I think the best way is just a new CDI. I don't imagine it'll run well on an actual dreamcast either. Some of the textures are 12x as large as they are originally and greater than 10mb. So, yeah. xD.

There are some limits though, as with the loading screens, they can only be a certain aspect ratio and you can't make a fullscreen image. These limits are very frequent. I'm also going to do Shenmue 1, to a less extent. I've always found it very jarring how the menu of Shenmue 1 and 2 had very different backgrounds and menu icons. I am going to aim to make them more consistent.

Could you send me Ryo's textures to render them in 3D Max? I'd like to see them more closely.

I like the idea and the initial work is going in the right direction but the icons do need some further tweaking as they look somewhat cheap right now. The watch does look pretty good though.

The images for the load screens are definately something to consider for an enhanced version of the game but the initial design you've shown is rather cluttered and simply not "clean" enough. Shenmue always kept things simple and stylish and the inclusion of screenshots should be more streamlined and plain.

SpinDash, I'm rehauling the loading screen right now, will upload once it's done. Yes, I do have to tweak the buttons. A weird this is, and I don't know if this is a glitch but the buttons appear transparent when they should be solid. Not so in menus, only on the HUD. Strange.

Hi nice mods, can anyone help me on this project? http://gtaforums.com/topic/664077-gta-s ... nmue-port/ i already have ryo hazuki with some outfits, i just want to have shenmue HUD ryo hazuki motorbike, and shenmue forklift.. if anyone of you can help feel free to reply :D Thank you all.. if possible i would like to have that HD jacket texture
