Shenmue Gaiden on Hiatus

First and foremost, thank you all so much for the support that you have given us. We never expected the project to be received so well. These last few days have been incredible. I've received so many private messages and emails that its starting to create a backlog. We'll get back to all of you, so keep those requests and questions coming in. (500k members make a dojo account)

UPDATE 1: Shenmue Gaiden Facebook Page

The first update is our new Facebook page. Everyone interested in this project please like and share the page. Both of us will be posting content over there and its a good way to interact with members who do not have an account on Shenmuedojo.

UPDATE 2: Exclusive Cinematic Pack

Riken Productions has agreed to create an exclusive cinematic pack for the release of Shenmue Gaiden. Expect something amazing.



UPDATE 3: New Staff

We have a ton of new staff joining the project. New voice actors, writers, composers and even some programmers. We've also recruited the amazing individual that created the Shenmue revenge trailer to help promote the Shenmue 3 Kickstarter.

UPDATE 5: General Updates

The main page and faq will be getting updated over the weekend. Shenmue Gaiden is starting to attract the gaming media, which is both scary and exciting at the same time. I really hope we're able to produce this game together. There's always a chance that it may be canceled. Hopefully those officially associated with Shenmue see how much passion the community has and how much work we're put in to this project; not to forget all the work we've all done for the past 15 years.

Agreed. SEGA have been known to leave fan made projects alone or encourage them, from what I understand. Since this is also non profit, I can't see SEGA doing anything.

Late night playing Shenmue Gaiden. A joy to play, but very time consuming to produce. It's Shenmue though, so can't complain too much

We're still on track for a demo release this year.

Oh yes. I wont say which ones though, not until im 100% certain i can make it happen. For now, the only current working version is on PC.

Edit: I've been thinking about this project a lot today, for some reason. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Cha- I mean the mysterious silhouette speaking to Yuan, is weaved into the story.

Hi! I am not very active in this topic, and I should.

I am still working on remaking some characters, since I've learned A LOT, since I started this journey with Shensun.

So I'll post the current State of Shenfua's model it has been remodeled almost completely!, I'll have to render the portratis again
