You will then know as much as we know. Im not being rude but we dont know the answer to every Shenmue question unfortunately.

As far as we know, the Sword has been in Shen Hua's family ever since she can remember. Its the family crest, and opens the door for a lot of spculation as to the symbolism and possibilities into Shen Hua's past and "powers"
